My teaching is guided by a simple goal: to teach students how psychologists think rather than simply what psychologists know. I want students to leave my courses able to ask thoughtful questions, evaluate evidence, consider alternative explanations, and apply psychological science to the world around them. To support these goals, I use active learning, real-world examples, collaborative activities, and opportunities for feedback and revision. I also strive to create a classroom environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and engaging with perspectives different from their own. Across my courses, I aim to make psychological science both rigorous and accessible while helping students develop the confidence and skills to think like psychological scientists.
