Supporting undergraduate success is one of the most rewarding aspects of my professional life. Through advising, mentoring, and program development, I help students explore career paths, prepare for graduate school, engage with research opportunities, and build confidence in pursuing their goals.
Since 2024, I have served as an Advisor in the Department of Psychology Advising and Resource Center at Ohio University and as Director of the OU Psychology Peer Mentoring Program.
Provide academic and career advising to undergraduate psychology students on:
Course planning
Graduate school preparation
Career exploration
Research involvement
Direct a department-wide mentoring program that pairs graduate and undergraduate psychology students and supports mentoring relationships throughout the academic year.
Mentor undergraduate research assistants in the TIME Lab and provide guidance on research methods, coding procedures, and the research process.
My mentoring philosophy centers on providing both guidance and encouragement while fostering independence. I strive to create an environment in which students feel comfortable asking questions, exploring opportunities, and discussing uncertainties about their academic and professional paths.
Provide extensive feedback on graduate school application materials outside formal advising appointments.
Maintain long-term mentoring relationships with undergraduate students.
Support students pursuing research opportunities and graduate education.
Organize workshops and programming related to academic success and career development
